Protective measures we are taking to protect patients and prevent the spread of COVID-19
We have put several new protocols in place which, when combined with our regular protocols, help protect our patients and staff. The new protocols include:
We have a separate entrance for patients with Upper Respiratory or Flu like symptoms (fever, cough, shortness of breath, sore throat).
This entrance (left door) leads to a small treatment area that is away from the rest of our clinic.
Only the provider manages the entire visit wearing a mask, gloves, and gown for the protection of both patient and staff.
When this entrance is locked, it means we have a patient or are disinfecting after a patient and we ask that you return to your vehicle and call the clinic to be placed on a list. Once a patient visit has ended and the treatment area (chairs, table, wall surrounding the chairs, door and door handle/lock and even the blood pressure cuff and stethoscope) is wiped down with bleach water, you will be called when you can enter.
Our Main Entrance on the right is where patients without fever and cough enter. If a patient is injured, has a rash, or suspected UTI for example, this entrance should be used.
Once inside, you will be brought to a treatment room quickly as patients will not wait with other patients in the waiting room.
Staff wears a mask with a shield for all visits.
We are keeping all visits as short as possible while still providing excellent care, this helps keep exposure times low.
Treatment rooms are thoroughly wiped down between patients with bleach water and/or disinfecting wipes.
The waiting room and front desk is wiped down multiple times daily.
In addition to in clinic care, we offer the option of using telemedicine. Use the “Virtual Clinic” tab on our website which will connect you with Care Convene. Easy to use and will connect you with Dr. Turner or one of his colleagues. The code is DOC247.
